The Making of Pygmy Lush's Shirt Illustration

July 06, 2025 in Illustration and Design

In February 2025, I began work on the shirt illustration that would go with my record artwork for Pygmy Lush’s TOTEM. The drawing was 17x17 inches and was based on the sculpture and tintype I made for the inside record insert.

The rough thumbnail sketch of the shirt design; serving as a proposal to the band.

The finished blue line drawing on scratch board.

Various stages of inking the drawing.

The finished ink drawing.

The final shirt illustration, printed with cream ink on a black shirt. Available from Persistent Vision Records.
